Editorial Policy of the Journal
"Vestnik of Saint Petersburg University. Mathematics. Mechanics. Astronomy" publishes the work of scientists of the St. Petersburg State University, as well as the results of researchers from other universities, that cover the main areas of fundamental and applied mathematics as well as mathematical problems in mechanics and astronomy.
The journal publishes:

articles with the results of original, previously unpublished research, based on the results of joint projects by foreign scientists and scientists from Saint Petersburg State University;
-
articles by domestic and foreign scientists, written based on their reports delivered at international conferences;
-
reviews written by request of the Editorial Board;
-
articles written for special occasions, for example, as part of anniversary and memorial issues.
The experts (reviewers) are volunteers from a group of leading scientists of St. Petersburg State University, Russian and foreign universities and institutes of the Russian Academy of Sciences. The selection of experts is made by members of the editorial board and the editor-in-chief.
In its policy, the Editorial Board follows the recommendations provided by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), Editorial Ethics and Peer Review Guidelines.
Vestnik of Saint Petersburg University. Mathematics. Mechanics. Astronomy is published quarterly.
The Journal is included in the list of the leading refereed academic journals and periodicals recommended by the Higher Attestation Committee at the Ministry of Education and Science of the Russian Federation, assigned for publication of the key results of doctoral dissertations (including the both Russian doctoral degrees: the PhD and the Doctor of Physical and Mathematical Sciences).
