Abstract

The applying of adjustment factors in Rayleigh method to calculate vibrations principal frequency of a shell with rectangular cross-section is considered in the paper. Behavior patterns of the adjustment factors are generalized. Relationship between the adjustment factors and properties of the approximate formulae is analyzed.
