About the role of St.Petersburg in the formation of mathematical analysis

The article discusses the main stages in the development of mathematical analysis in St. Petersburg in the 18th and 19th centuries. Brief biographical information and a description of the most important results of outstanding representatives of the St. Petersburg mathematical school - L. Euler, M. V. Ostrogradsky, V. Ya. Bunyakovsky, P. L.Chebyshev, Yu. V. Sokhotski, A. A. Markov - are presented.Keywords:
